What began as a one-year teaching assignment in the Falls turned into a lifetime of service to the community, Nordquist said. She moved to the Falls from Marshall to begin teaching in 1974, and after leaving the Falls the following year, she said she couldn’t stop thinking about returning. Nordquist returned to teach four levels of Spanish language at Falls High School, advanced placement Spanish, public speaking, theater, English as a second language for K-12, job skills, and English.
